An initiative by Khazanah Nasional K-Youth is a youth employability initiative by Khazanah Nasional Berhad that aims to develop Malaysia’s future talents. This programme is designed to equip youth with relevant skills to enhance their employability in the evolving job market. K-Youth reflects our commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, aligned with our Advancing Malaysia long term strategy and the Malaysia MADANI aspirations, which meaningfully contributes to the country's economic growth.

General Eligibility Requirements:
- Malaysian;
- Aged 18 to 30 years old as of 31 December 2026;
- SPM/SPMV/SKM or universities and college graduates with a recognised Certificate/Diploma/Degree;
- Unemployed;
- Meets the specific eligibility requirements set for each certification programme;
- Have not participated in any programmes similar to the K-Youth Development Programme; and
- Possesses strong interest towards being employed.

What is the K-Youth Development Programme?
K-Youth is an initiative by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) aimed at developing Malaysia’s future talent. This programme prepares youth with commercially valuable skills and experience to enhance their employability.
What will Trainees receive?
Trainees will undergo:
- 1 month of Technical Training & Soft Skills Training
- 3 months of on-the-job training with selected host companies
What is funded under this programme?
- Technical and soft skills training fees.
- Participants will receive a monthly salary ranging from RM1,700 to RM2,300, depending on their education level, throughout the four (4) month programme, including EPF, SOCSO, and EIS contributions (depending on the programme joined)
- Assessment/examination fees for one (1) session only (any re-sit will be borne by the trainee)
- Insurance coverage during the programme period
Am I eligible to apply if I have participated in similar programmes like K-Youth before?
No. If you have previously joined train and-place programmes such as MySTEP or Protégé, you are not eligible to apply for the K-Youth Development Programme 2026.
Where can I find the specific eligibility requirements for each training programme?

When will the programme start?
- Registration periods differ for each certification programme. Generally, intake runs from May to September 2026.

Are there any fees to join this programme?
No fees are required. Trainees will receive a monthly salary to support their living expenses during the programme.
Will there be any exams or assessments after the technical training?
Each technical training programme has its own assessment method. Please contact us if have any inquiries
What should I do after applying?
If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted by EFC for an interview and/or assessment.
Will I have the opportunity to be employed after completing the programme?
Yes. The programme enhances your skills and employability. It has a strong track record of helping graduates secure jobs in their chosen fields. High-performing trainees may have the opportunity to be absorbed directly by the host company based on outstanding performance.
Do I need to sign any contract?
Yes. Trainees are required to sign an official agreement with EFC.
Is attendance compulsory?
Yes. Full attendance is mandatory. Most training sessions are conducted physically in Selangor/Kuala Lumpur.
Do I need to complete the full 3 months of on-the-job training?
Yes. On-the-job training is a mandatory component of the programme. However, trainees who receive a full-time job offer during this period may submit a formal request to EFC to end the training early.
